Gran Canaria

Gran Canaria is the second largest island of the Canary archipelago, located in the Atlantic Ocean at about 150 kilometers from the northwestern coast of Africa and 1350 km from Europe. The island, of volcanic origin, has a round shape with a diameter of around 50 km and with a maximum altitude of 1,949 meters.
Gran Canaria is defined as a miniature continent thanks to the scenery variety and to the multitude of micro climates. The average day temperature is of 20 °C in winter and 26 °C in summer, and thanks to its special weather is one of the most appealing European destination throughout the year, with daily flights connecting the island to the main European cities.
